Bard. The Hernia Repair Company SM is pleased to announce the latest advancement for ventral hernia repair - Bard Composix E/X mesh.
When Bard Composix mesh was introduced in 1997, it was the first ventral hernia repair prosthesis that combined two clinically proven biomaterials, Bard polypropylene mesh and ePTFE, in one product. Bard Composix E/X mesh, the nE/Xt generation in ventral hernia repair prosthesis, has been engineered to include several new customer-focused design features:
•  Two distinctly different sides: Polypropylene Bard mesh on one side to promote tissue ingrowth and sub -     micronic ePTFE on the other side to minimize adhesions to the prosthesis.
•  Elliptically shaped design: Reduces the need to trim the mesh, saving time.
•  Low Profile: Makes it ideally suited for laparoscopic ventral hernia repairs.
• Sealed Edge: Prevents exposure of the polypropylene mesh side from contact with the bowel, thus     potentially reducing the chances of adhesions around the edge of the prosthesis.
